Addison came to Heritage Ranch in August 2018. He was in a deep depression, was refusing to go to school, and his family had begun looking at options for out of state treatment. Then they learned of Heritage Ranch, through a family at their church who knew what their son was going through. They called the Heritage Ranch counselor about the program and a few weeks later Addison had been accepted and was moving in.

During his time at Heritage Ranch, Addison learned the skills he needed to cope effectively with his anxiety and depression, improved communication and relationship with his family, and grew in confidence and success in his academic studies. He successfully completed the Heritage Ranch residential program in April 2020 and we could not be more thrilled about his growth and success. But don’t take it only from us. Below are some testimonials from him and his family about the impact Heritage Ranch had on them.

"The program has made a huge difference for Addison. Prior to Heritage Ranch, he failed out of the 8th grade with a GPA of 1.2. Addison has benefited from the program by the extra attention and support he receives from the extremely low teacher/student ratio. His confidence in the classroom has definitely improved since being in the program. His GPA at the end of last school year while at HR was near a 3.0. A tremendous improvement! We are so grateful for what Heritage Ranch has done for Addison and know that he is much better prepared to conquer the next phase of his life with confidence and determination. We will keep you posted on his progress. God Bless!!" – Alan, Dad

"The Ranch opened up communication and built better confidence in Addison. He has learned that he matters, his opinions and feelings. Heritage Ranch is a valuable resource for helping boys who are having a difficult time during this important stage of their life." – Melanie, Mom

"The Ranch has given our entire family hope and has provided us with education and skills that will benefit us for the rest of our lives, in all our relationships. Without the ranch our son would have gone down one of two paths, suicide or drugs/dangerous behavior. It has saved his life. The Ranch is a huge blessing to our entire community. We believe that it is the answer to prayers." – Laurie, Step-Mom

"Even though life may throw whatever it has at you, soon you will be able throw it right back. Thank you for giving me the tools to succeed. I will miss everyone!!" – Addison, Ranch Graduate
