A New Season at the Ranch

The Lord is leading Heritage Ranch into a new chapter of transition, growth, and continued ministry to the families of Louisiana. With the blessing and support of the Board, Vicki Ellis has stepped down as the Chief Development Officer to take an advisory role at the Ranch while pursuing local real estate development.

Long-time supporter and Board Chairman, Adrian Nadeau, expresses that he is “extremely grateful for Vicki founding the Ranch, [and] for her perseverance...” He has “always been drawn to Vicki’s mission and her vision and her passion for serving kids in crisis and their families.” On behalf of the Board, Mr. Nadeau announces that the current COO, Loren Ransom, has been named the Interim Executive Director while the search for an Executive Director continues. Mr. Nadeau and the Board ask for your prayers as they consider Loren and other candidates to fill the role that Vicki has so faithfully executed.

In Vicki’s words, “My role with the Ranch is changing, but my commitment to the Ranch is not.” Vicki feels deeply appreciative for the investment and commitment of all those who have partnered with her and the Ranch. She says, “It is the leadership and commitment of individuals like Adrian Nadeau that have made the time I’ve spent at the Ranch so special and meaningful... I am grateful for the time, the resources, and the prayers that our countless volunteers and staff and donors have invested over the years. I am grateful to my friends and my family who have encouraged and supported me. I am most of all thankful to our clients who have invested their trust in the Ranch work and the Ranch mission to allow us to be a part of their families. And, of course, … I’m grateful to the Lord for His steadfast faithfulness to me over a lifetime, but especially over the time that I’ve been serving at the Ranch. Knowing that the Lord is guiding Loren and the Board as they make decisions moving forward gives me peace of mind that I can count on the direction that we’ll be headed in in the coming years... I look forward to seeing what the Lord has in store for this next chapter of the Ranch, and I’m confident in and grateful for Loren and the board, our staff, and all of our partners as we move forward into this next phase.”

Loren Ransom feels “honored to have been part of the mission of the Ranch to be used by God to transform families by instilling His love and identity into family culture.” He looks forward to what the future holds at the Ranch and the synergy of the Residential and Compass Services programs. “This mission is a God-sized mission. We can’t do it without Him, and we can’t do it without you. I ask you for your support and especially your prayers that God would lead us to the next leader of the Ranch, whether it’s me or someone else, that God’s going to bring. Regardless, I am committed to the mission God has here, and I’m excited to see what He is going to do.”

The Board of Directors, Loren, and Vicki are unified in their commitment to the future of the Ranch and their excitement of what the Lord is doing. The team looks forward to sharing upcoming events, new developments, and Ranch happenings with you. Thank you for your continued prayers and partnership as we continue reaching families right where they are, providing the intervention they need to develop healthy family cultures.
